Pitbull Says Fractured Hand Won't Stop 'Hey Baby' Video Shoot

Miami rapper's song featuring T-Pain is theme to newly launched 'So Kodak' campaign.

Pitbull isn't going to let something like a few broken bones slow his roll. The [article id="1640872"]"I Like It"[/article] rapper broke his hand on Monday at his Miami home, and it has thrown off his packed schedule of events this week, including a planned appearance Tuesday night at a New York performance with Drake and Trey Songz in celebration of the kick-off of the "So Kodak" marketing campaign.

"I fractured my hand and I had to have surgery," Pit said when MTV News caught up with him by phone on Wednesday morning (October 6). "It was one of those good nights where you're having too much fun and, unfortunately, I fell on my hand the wrong way and fractured it."

Luckily, he was able to get some "advanced" surgery that will allow him to have his cast off in a week and then, in six weeks, to remove the pin holding his bones in place. ("Hopefully by next week I'll be up and running.") But that means he'll have to push back the filming of his video for "Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)," the first single from his upcoming Planet Pit album, tentatively due in early December. Mr. 305 was slated to film the clip in Miami on Tuesday with T-Pain, but that shoot has now been postponed a few days on doctor's orders.

In the meantime, the Kodak campaign is kicking off in full force, with "Hey Baby" slated to be used in commercials for the new digital camera from Kodak. (The gadget has a "share" button that allows users to quickly upload shots to Facebook, Flickr and Twitter.) Drake and Trey held it down for Pitbull on Tuesday night at the Kodak event, treating a cozy, invitation-only audience at New York's Best Buy Theater (formerly the Nokia Theater) to a mini-set of their hits.

When the Miami MC finally does get in front of the camera, Pit promised that fans will see plenty of cameos from the new Kodak Easyshare camera. The video for the body-rocking club tune produced by Parisian electro-house up-and-comer Sandy Vee (Akon, Rihanna) will probably shoot next week.
