For years, Stephenie Meyer fans have been eagerly anticipating that golden moment when they can finally plop down at the theater, chow down on some popcorn and see "Eclipse" on the big screen. Now, for a lucky few, that moment will come sooner than expected.

The Los Angeles Film Festival announced Tuesday (May 4) that "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" will be one of the high-profile films on its slate. The bad news, however, is that the "World Premiere" is listed as a "Bonus by Invitation Screening," which means Twilighters will have to pull some serious strings to get into the show.

The L.A. fest runs June 17-27 and will feature more than 200 films from 40 countries. This year's festival is moving from its longtime home in Westwood to downtown Los Angeles, where the screenings will take place on bigger, more modern L.A. Live screens. The site announcing the news lists the final "Eclipse" synopsis as well: "In 'Eclipse,' Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob -- knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf." "Eclipse" hits theaters June 30.

Other notable films at this year's festival include the buzz-heavy "The Kids Are Alright," the 3-D animated film "Despicable Me," "Cyrus" with Jonah Hill and John C. Reilly and the latest film from "An Inconvenient Truth" director Davis Guggenheim, an indictment of the American school system called "Waiting for Superman."
