Snoop Dogg Has 'No Problem' With Competition From Justin Bieber

Bieber's 'My World 2.0' and Snoop's 'More Malice' both drop on Tuesday.

Tuesday (March 23) marks not only the release of [article id="1634361"]Justin Bieber's My World 2.0,[/article] but the drop of [article id="1634461"]Snoop Dogg's More Malice,[/article] a reissue of an earlier album with a fresh collection of tracks. So, is Snoop stressing about going head-to-head with the platinum-selling 16-year-old?

Not a chance, the rapper told MTV News on Monday night at the red carpet for the premiere of "Malice N Wonderland," the 40-minute movie made in conjunction with the new disc.

"I don't have no problem with that," he said. "That's what the music industry was made on. I actually had a chance to meet the guy. He's kind of cool. So, I don't really have a problem with the teenyboppers or whatnot."

To Snoop, this is sort of a case of been there, done that. His mixtapes began to get noticed in his teenage years, and after hooking up with Dr. Dre, Snoop delivered his debut album, Doggystyle, at the age of 22.

"Once upon a time, I was a young teenager coming into the game, driving 'em crazy and whatnot," he explained.

Wise after all these years -- and with his 11th studio album set for release -- Snoop sees more than enough room in the marketplace for both gentlemen to succeed. "I wish him luck and success," he said of Bieber. "Hopefully, his record will do what it's supposed to do."

For his part, [article id="1634411"]Bieber's been working[/article] like a madman to promote the album, traveling nonstop and talking to the press at every turn. His first single, "Baby," had a top 5 Billboard debut and he has high hopes for the [article id="1634068"]next single, "U Smile."[/article]

"The song is amazing," Bieber told MTV News recently. "We really love the song, so we decided to cut it. It's really amazing."
