While [movieperson id="262629"]Kristen Stewart[/movieperson] does all she can onscreen in [movie id="414921"]"New Moon"[/movie] to talk [movieperson id="365131"]Robert Pattinson[/movieperson] into staying in a relationship with her, the 19-year-old actress is done speaking about her [article id="1625290"]rumored off-screen romance with her co-star.[/article]

"I've thought about this a lot," Stewart told Entertainment Weekly. "There's no answer that's not going to tip you one way or the other. Think about every hypothetical situation: 'OK, we are. We aren't. I'm a lesbian.' I'm just trying to keep something."

While Stewart deserves kudos for her creative refusal to engage in gossip mongering, that creativity is unlikely to tamp down speculation about her and RPattz, especially as we get closer to the November 20 release of "New Moon." One wonders what Pattinson -- who was sitting next to KStew during the EW interview and who apparently attempted to add in his two cents about living in the public eye before his co-star cut him off -- was thinking at this point. Taylor Lautner was there too, and he got pulled into Stewart's spirited denials.

"If people started asking me if I was dating Taylor, I'd be like, 'F--- off!' I would answer the exact same way," she said.

Pattinson then turned to Lautner and deadpanned, "Me too."

What it comes down to, Stewart explained, is that she refuses to feed the gossip machine. She needs to keep some semblance of privacy. [article id="1620922"]Megan Fox voiced similar sentiments[/article] to MTV News while promoting "Jennifer's Body" earlier this year. "People take everything from you when you're in this business," Fox said. "Your anonymity is stripped from you."

Stewart's approach is to declare questions about her personal life off-limits. "I probably would've answered it if people hadn't made such a big deal about it," she explained. "But I'm not going to give the fiending an answer. I know that people are really funny about 'Well, you chose to be an actor, why don't you just f---ing give your whole life away?! Can I have your firstborn child?' "
