Maybe you had a rough time in high school. Maybe you're still having a rough time in high school. Just be thankful you're not going through anything like Skye Rotter contends with in the MTV original movie, "My Super Psycho Sweet 16." Her dad's a nutso murderer who slaughtered some of her townsfolk 10 years back. That will put a serious crimp in your social life.

"Dad was a serial killer, and apparently that will make you a social outcast," Lauren McKnight, who plays Skye, laughed during a Los Angeles screening of the film. "But she desperately wants to belong to regular groups of people."

That's where the not-so-happy couple of Brigg and Madison fit in. "Brigg's the jock," explained Chris Zylka, who plays the athlete. "He's the guy everyone wants to be, but to himself, he's not really the guy he wants to be, the way he's being perceived by everyone else."

So Brigg sets his alpha-male sights on Skye, and once queen bee Madison finds out, well, she's less than pleased. "Madison is severely misunderstood," contended Julianna Guill, who plays the popular girl. "She doesn't know how mean she is. She's just been doing it her whole life. But she does it a lot in this movie and is just horrible to Skye Rotter, who she tortures."

This love triangle reaches a breaking point when Madison throws a killer sweet-16 party at the newly reopened roller-skating rink where Skye's dad did his bloody work. The high-class shindig quickly turns gruesome as Daddy shows up with, um, an ax to grind. Think reality show "My Super Sweet 16" meets slasher film meets teen comedy, all set to a righteous MTV soundtrack.

The movie premieres Friday, October 23, at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. Co-star Matt Angel has the perfect way for everyone to revel in the gory proceedings. "If you're a girl, grab your girlfriends," he said. "If you're a guy, grab your girlfriends. Pop some popcorn, grab a soda, sit down, enjoy the two hours. It's insane fun, and you'll be scared, you'll laugh, you'll cry."
