'American Idol' judge has been penning songs for the Disney Channel movie.

In between [article id="1615110"]touring the country[/article], releasing a [article id="1613575"]new album next week[/article] and getting ready for the production of "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," Demi Lovato has apparently been in the studio, recording songs for the Disney Channel movie's soundtrack.

[artist id="3079280"]Lovato[/artist] took to her Twitter to divulge that she's currently recording songs with "Camp Rock" soundtrack veteran and "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi. "Recording Camp Rock 2 songs with Kara DioGuardi!!" she wrote. "Having serious déjà vu."

Lovato also used the Twitter moment to share with her fans some fun trivia about their past together. "Fun Fact: Kara wrote Camp Rock's 'We Rock' and my song 'The Middle.' And we co-wrote 'Believe in Me' together. Psshh ... I knew her butt PRE-American Idol!!!"

According the Disney Channel, DioGuardi, Toby Gad and a slew of other songwriters have been tapped to pen the soundtrack, which "will feature a mix of pop, rock, R&B and hip-hop songs."

When MTV News spoke to Lovato about reprising her role as Mitchie for the second "Camp Rock" flick, she said she was excited to get back to work with the Jonas Brothers and even hinted that the group may be writing some songs together themselves.

"They're, like, some of my closest friends," she said of the JoBros. "Even in our free time, we'll be like, 'Let's go write a song.' We were just thinking it's going to be so much fun."
