As Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt drove off from their wedding Saturday, fans of "The Hills" couple who'd gathered outside the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California, reacted to the news that the pair have finally made their marriage official.
Many fans stood outside the church to catch a glimpse of the couple, and were very excited to see Lauren Conrad make an appearance, after the "Hills" star had told MTV News last week she wouldn't be coming to the wedding.
"I actually saw LC," Ann Marie Rouleau, who described them as "the most entertaining couple in Hollywood," told MTV News. "It looked like she did not want to be seen." Another fan, Molly Sweeney, added, "The whole crew was here to show the couple their support."
Meanwhile, Catherine Clary was also shocked by Lauren's quickie appearance. "I was really surprised to see Lauren here," she said. "I [also] wasn't expecting to see Justin Bobby."
Fans not only wanted to check out what their favorite "Hills" stars look like in person, they also came out to wish the couple all the best. "I'm really excited for them," said Kaori, who met Spencer outside the church. "They're the cutest couple ever."
Fans were basically united in their optimism for the couple's future. "I think they're good for each other," Clary added. "I hope they last."
However, people had different ideas of how long that will be. Emily Lewis said, "Maybe not forever, [but] you proved everyone wrong." Another fan, Edgar Leon, said that this wedding shows that they really care and "hopefully it's real this time."
Fans also thought the pair looked perfectly lovely for their wedding day. The consensus: Heidi looked beautiful and Spencer cleaned up nicely for the event. "She looked absolutely gorgeous," Rouleau said about Montag's Monique Lhullier gown. "She looked stunning, and he looked hot."
