Audrina Patridge Calls 'Into The Blue 2' A 'Dream Come True'

'Hills' star's film debut hits DVD on Tuesday.

[article id="1609159"]The "Hills" drama may be well under way[/article], but Audrina Patridge is also finding some drama on the high seas in her new flick, "Into the Blue 2: The Reef," out on DVD Tuesday.

Patridge, who plays Kelsey in the film, admitted that she couldn't hide her excitement for the movie because she was such a fan of the first one starring Jessica Alba and Paul Walker. "I was a huge fan of 'Into the Blue,' the original one, so whenever this opportunity came about, I was like, 'I really want to do this,' " she said about the 2005 flick. "Just 'cause the diving, the beach, the atmosphere."

The film, which was shot in Hawaii and focuses on divers looking for an underwater lost treasure, was an unexpected role for the up-and-coming actress. "I'm very excited and honored," she said. "It's like my dream come true."

Next up for Patridge is the horror flick "Sorority Row," in which "The Hills" star is -- spoiler alert! -- killed. And Patridge worked hard to make sure you believe she really dies in the film.

"I did practice," she said. "But, you know, once you're on set and in the moment, it's so much easier because you're around everybody else. Especially in a horror film, a lot of the deaths are so disgusting. You have to tough it out with all the blood, and it's so sticky and gross!"

The 2009 MTV Movie Awards are coming May 31, live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, at 9 p.m. ET. And this time, you're in charge of picking the nominees. Head over to the Movie Awards site and vote now.
