Lindsay Lohan Is Waiting For Seth Rogen To Call Her

Actress also says it's 'scary' to be not working on films.

Anyone who doubts that Lindsay Lohan is trying to get back in the acting game had better think again, because the actress already has one Oscar winner on her side.

"I'm talking to [lots of people]," she says in the April 2009 issue of Nylon magazine. "One is Sean Penn -- I spoke to him again the other day."

However, one actor is apparently not as interested. "We're trying to get Seth Rogen for this project, but Seth won't call us back," she said, adding, "So call us back, Seth, if you're reading this!"

Lohan told the magazine she's concerned about her low activity in the film world these days. "It's scary when you realize, 'Oh my God, I'm not working. And have a house to pay for now,' " said the actress, who has been in headlines for less desirable reasons (including the recent, retracted warrant for her arrest for an [article id="1607047"]apparent parole violation[/article]).

So until things pick up (or Rogen calls her back), Lohan said she doesn't mind doing modeling work. "I love doing photo shoots," she said. "I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I'd do that ... because that's fun for me. That's not work."

However, different kinds of photos -- i.e. the ones that appear in tabloids -- are the ones that Lohan is more concerned about. She referred to tabloids as "the Burn Books of Hollywood," referencing her star-making turn in "Mean Girls."

"There's not much I can do about the fact that I've become a kind of tabloid obsession," she said. "I can't change that. And yes, the Web sites, the gossip pages, and all of that stuff have hurt my career -- they're like the Burn Books of Hollywood.

"But I really don't feel like I should have to prove myself to anyone because of living out my college years in the public eye. I'm glad everything happened the way it did."
