The Miami DJ played the song for Santiago, who then sent it to Jay.

“I made sure I told Lenny the truth: that it’s a dream to work with Jay and I’m fan of his music. I kept telling him we will make more history,” Khaled offered. “So time passed, I never really knew if he was going to do it, so I let the song go and kept it moving. “Jay-Z is like a jedi!” Khaled exclaimed. “He just knows when to make his moves and when to do something. And Jay-Z felt like I deserved the verse. I really appreciated that they believe in me!

“We the best!” Khaled continued. ” ‘Go Hard’ is so good!”
