Vanessa Hudgens Cancels 'Tonight Show' Appearance: Report

Cancellation is due to 'scheduling conflict,' according to statement.

Vanessa Hudgens has canceled her appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" due to a "scheduling conflict," according to "Access Hollywood." The "High School Musical" star was to appear on Thursday's (September 13) show with Terry Bradshaw and Michael Bublé.

A rep for the show released the following statement:

"Vanessa is no longer appearing on Thursday's 'Tonight Show' due to a scheduling conflict. She will be rescheduling her appearance at a later date."

Hudgens has been embroiled in controversy since nude and partially clad photos of her hit the Internet (see [article id="1569072"]"Vanessa Hudgens' Rep Confirms Nude Photo: 'It Is Unfortunate This Has Become Public' "[/article]). The actress has apologized (see [article id="1569166"]"Vanessa Hudgens Apologizes For Nude Photo"[/article]).

"I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me," Hudgens said in a statement, according to Us Weekly. "I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends."

A spokesperson for the Disney Channel, which broadcasts the "HSM" movies, told UsMagazine.com, "Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment. We hope she's learned a valuable lesson."

The release of the image could signal trouble for Hudgens, who is currently in negotiations for a third "High School Musical" film (see [article id="1564571"]" 'High School Musical 3' Won't Be Haunted -- But It's Still Headed For Big Screen"[/article]). The scandal has, at least, not harmed the sales of the most recent "High School Musical" album (see [article id="1569513"]"Vanessa Hudgens Scandal Can't Stop 'High School Musical 2' Billboard Reign"[/article]).
