and Def Squad is now one unit called the Squadron.

Herman: When is the album dropping? On the

22nd?

EPMD: September 30th, the album drops.

hugues: Are you planning to tour in South

EPMD: We were there in '88, so hopefully we

album?

EPMD: The Joint.

album?

EPMD: The production is awesome.

EPMD: There are 13 tracks.

shiva: Erick, is your sister Big Kim AKA

Goldie, working on a solo LP? Or doing a DUO project with T-Man??

EPMD: She is coming out with a group with

Redman's sister, no project with T Man.

hugues: What happened to Stezo?

EPMD: Stezo is in CT.

guys do all of your own production anyway? Or anything outside?

EPMD: We do all our production.

hip hop? Not commercialized popmusic however.

EPMD: We haven't peeped any Canadian artists

but we will when we get there.

Herman: Will the remix of "Neva Seen

Before" on there EPMD? Is the remix on the

LP?

EPMD: Herman, yes, it will be on the LP.

HRisto: What do you guys think about the

whole materialism rage in hip hop? Do you think it will

eventually pass over or what?

EPMD: Maybe in the 2000's it might change,

the money took over.

Nocturnal: Erick, what do you think about the

current state of hip-hop?

EPMD: Nocturnal, there is a state of

Sofie: Have you heard of ADL?

EPMD: Sofie, no.

hugues: I'm into your music a lot, are you

charging for your samples?

EPMD: The samples are on the back of the

album. We won't charge a lot for you to sample us.

Andrew: What do you think about kids like the

Artifacts doing stuff with small labels (Rawcus) and making less

money, would you think of doing such a thing with some indy kids

(Kool Keith/Sir Melenik)?

EPMD: I think that they are doing what they

gotta do to get on. They could probably only get an independent

to sign them at the time.

Andrew: Yeah, but Brick City

Kids (Artifacts) came out this year.

EPMD: Andrew, I don't know why.

HRisto: Why did you guys dis Brand Nubians on

"Crossover"?

EPMD: We didn't dis Brand Nubian on

today?

EPMD: The two great ones died Herman. But it

would still have to be line for line, KRS-One.

of hand. They have a lack of knowledge.

radioactive... futuristic, fiberoptic.

EPMD: No, Tupac didn't kill Biggie.

two were better than Biggie's first?

hip hop? Like R&B techno, house, reggae etc.?

EPMD: We like them both Illtell and we like

R&B.

EPMD: Redman's album is next to come out and

then Keith Murray.

EPMD: Rockwilder does.

shiva: Do ya think DEF JAM will reissue some

old EPMD vinyl ?

EPMD: Yes, Def Jam will reissue old vinyl.

thinks the new Brand Nubian song from SOUL IN THE HOLE

such as the Source that claim to be hip hop

magazines, though they give like 5 mics to wack non lyrical crap

and people like Organized Konfusion get 3 mics?
