Bright Eyes Dust Off Back Catalog For 32-Date Fall Tour

Band planning a retrospective set for run of college campuses and smaller towns.

The road keeps calling Conor Oberst.

Since simultaneously releasing two fresh Bright Eyes LPs -- I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn -- in January, the tireless singer/songwriter has spent much of 2005 on the American stage. This fall, Oberst's tour bus will tack on even more miles to its overworked odometer, thanks to a 32-date trek that's set to commence on October 22 in Santa Barbara, California.

But for this fall run, which includes stops in several smaller towns and on college campuses, Oberst has planned something different -- good news for fans who caught Bright Eyes during the band's first two 2005 outings.

This upcoming tour will feature a full Bright Eyes lineup -- the Faint have backed up Oberst in recent shows -- and each night's set will be something of a retrospective, comprised of material from the group's musical past.

Bright Eyes' January/February jaunt consisted of a series of concerts devoted to material from the acoustic-based I'm Wide Awake, while the band's spring run with the Faint, which finished in mid-June, focused on the more experimental, electronic Digital Ash (see [article id="1499049"]"Yet Another Bright Eyes Tour, This Time With The Faint"[/article]).

Support acts for Bright Eyes' fall tour have yet to be announced, but word on confirmed openers is expected in the coming weeks.
