Ciara Credits 'Oh' Co-Star Luda With Showing Her The Ropes

'I've really learned a lot from him,' singer says.

"Goodies" was Ciara's first #1 single, and the singer's third single, "Oh," looks to be following the same star-studded path. Ludacris may have graced the song's video with cornrows and animated lyrics, but he blessed Ciara with a lot more.

"Luda has been incredible to me," Ciara gushed of the DTP mogul. "I've really learned a lot from him. One thing is that he stays grounded -- he's a very humble and focused individual. And just from the little experience that I've had thus far, I can see how easy it is for you to get lost. He's never gotten sidetracked and has always stayed true to what he believes in. He motivates and inspires me in so many different ways" (see [article id="1496803"]"Ciara Pulls Ludacris Into Her 'Oh' Dance Party"[/article]).

Since "Oh" is a love song to Atlanta, Ciara made sure that everyone knew the goods on ATL's trademark style.

"[When] I was working with [co-writers/producers] Dre and Vidal on the record," she recalled, "I wanted to make sure that we were actually talking about Atlanta, putting in the Atlanta elements and flavor. And then, when Luda put his verse on there, it was a wrap. I had a vision -- I really wanted Luda on the record. Then I spoke to my manager, asking, 'Could we get him on there?' He reached out to his management and we got him. I think Ludacris is perfect."

And while "Oh" is heating up at radio, C and her camp are preparing to release a fourth single.

"I'm blessed to have a fourth single and fourth video," Ciara said graciously. "I think it's going to be between 'Pick Up the Phone' and 'Thug Style,' but I'm not sure -- it may even be 'And I.' "

Meanwhile, she's done "Like U," a song with her good friend Bow Wow for his upcoming album, Wanted.

"The record is crazy," Ciara said of the Jay Dee-helmed collabo with the pop prince. "Bow Wow's a very hard worker -- he's got a lot of energy, and he's a real cool guy."

And aside from her upcoming appearances on albums by Missy Elliott and Field Mob, she also helped out Fantasia by co-writing a song on her album called "Got Me Waiting." Ms. C will begin practicing soon for a summer tour, although she hasn't solidified her official schedule. She also has modeling and acting opportunities, along with a second album, to consider. But lucky for Ciara, she's got time to think it over.

"I've been brainstorming," Ciara said about her sophomore effort. "My schedule's been so hectic, but we're making reservations to get in the studio immediately because I have a lot of things that I've been going through and experiencing. I wanna take my time, and luckily this Goodies is stretching."
