If you're looking to get your groove on and lower yourself into a mellow '70s mindset all in the course of a minute and a half, check out the new trailer for "Roll Bounce." The film, starring Nick Cannon, Meagan Good and (don't call him Lil') Bow Wow, looks like it'll be the "You Got Served" of roller-disco movies when it drops July 1. (Watch the trailer here.) ... Although it could be argued that it's been a long time since Chevy Chase has deserved to have the word 'funny' anywhere near his name, the pratfalling legend will soon be on marquees alongside the title "Funny Money." "I'm about to do post-production on a picture that I shot in Romania, which is a place you don't want to spend a lot of time in," joked the former John Coctosten. "It's a comedy of errors, and it's a farce; it's based on a play. I won't give it away, but it has Penelope Ann Miller in it and John Turturro and Chris McDonald. I'm acting in it and starring in it. It's quite a bit of fun." ...

Following in the long-forgotten footsteps of Ford Fairlane, rock and roll detective, Eddie Murphy has signed on to play a Hip-Hop Task Force sleuth in the upcoming "Johnny Blaze." While the Diceman comparison may not instill the greatest hope in Murphy's fans, the fact that the film is being developed by screenwriters Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg ("Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle") should. Murphy is set to play an aging rapper who quits scratching records to scratch out some bad guys instead. ... Fresh off her Oscar nomination for the revolutionary documentary "Tupac: Resurrection," writer/director Lauren Lazin is working to bring another late recording star to life on the big screen. "We're developing a piece on [TLC singer] Lisa ['Left Eye'] Lopes, and some other projects are coming our way. We did so well with the Tupac film that it tells us that audiences today, they don't really discriminate so much between documentary and fiction film. They just want to see a good movie, and a lot of people turned out for our Tupac film. A lot of people are watching it on Showtime or buying the DVD. So, you know, it really paves the way for other projects like that." ...

Erika Christensen has been caught in "Traffic," she's been a stalker "Swimfan," and she even suffered through the ill-advised "Leave It to Beaver" film. As if those credits weren't random enough, soon she'll be performing Anton Chekhov. "The character that I play is the youngest sister, we refer to her as Irene. She's a mature-seeming sort of young woman. She's really intelligent." The actress said she enjoyed delivering the sharp dialogue of the 19th century Russian playwright almost as much as she enjoyed hanging out with fellow female stars Mary Stuart Masterson and Maria Bello. "The estrogen flows and it's really fun, once you get into it, but it is completely different. And I love both -- hanging out with guys and hanging out with girls. Today, I can tell you, I was in a girly mood." The film is currently called "The Sisters," but here's hoping that it gets renamed to Chekov's original "Three Sisters" and opens opposite the upcoming Andre 3000 drama "Four Brothers" and, for maximum confusion, a re-release of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." ...

Here's some news that should make the Sisterhood scream "Ya-Ya" a few times: For those of you scoring at home, Sandra Bullock will be receiving the 2, 281st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. Staying close to her friends, Bullock's testament to superstardom will forever rest next to that of Keanu Reeves, her "Speed" co-star who will be reuniting with the actress in the upcoming "Il Mare." Bullock releases "Miss Congeniality 2" on Friday. ...
