Ashlee Simpson is doing her part to aid the tsunami-relief effort, but she can't do it alone, so she brought along a bevy of celebrities including big sis Jessica, on/off boyfriend Ryan Cabrera and New Found Glory to help her out.
As she announced on Monday on "Total Request Live," the younger Simpson sister has teamed up with Teen People magazine to put together an auction benefiting UNICEF. A package donated by the singer herself is the main item up for auction: four concert tickets with VIP meet-and-greet passes, an autographed foosball table from her rec room, and her Punk Royal pants and green Marc Jacobs boots from "The Ashlee Simpson Show," UNICEF announced on Wednesday. Her older sister has contributed her autographed "plata-ma-pus" shirt from the "With You" video, her autographed pink bustier from her Dessert ads, her Louis Vuitton Murakami shoes and a package of products from her Dessert line.
"One Tree Hill" star Chad Michael Murray will chat on the phone with one lucky bidder, while Good Charlotte will give the gift of music to another, with an Ernie Ball OLP guitar autographed by all five members. New Found Glory and Ryan Cabrera have donated four tickets to their tour, four merchandise packs and four VIP passes each, while Cabrera has also thrown in a personal phone call to a friend of the bidder who won't be able to make it to his show.
Also featured in the auction are items from Nicky Hilton, Shane West and Geffen Records, and a sports-memorabilia package that includes autographed shoes, an NBA game ball and a Laker Girls poster.
"The tsunami and its aftermath have affected everyone," Ashlee said in a statement released Wednesday, "and I couldn't imagine sitting silent and not doing anything to help. Please go online to check out the auction and know that your voice can make a huge difference."
Items from Simpson's famous friends and fellow artists and celebrities will be up for auction on eBay until Monday at 6 p.m. ET.
