Kid Rock Joins The Mile High Club In New Video

Rocker's newest single a cover of Bad Company's 'Feel Like Makin' Love.'

In the video for the first single from Kid Rock's new eponymous album, the rocker has a party at 32,000 feet, succumbs to a couple of flashbacks and leaves the scene a card-carrying member of the Mile High Club.

The song is a cover of Bad Company's "Feel Like Makin' Love" and the video's concept keeps with the 1975 hit single's randy theme. Filmed last weekend by director Chris Applebaum (Fountains of Wayne, Hilary Duff), it begins in the year 2023 with a pot-bellied, balding Kid Rock (who, in real life, spent more than three hours in makeup to perfect the look) performing at a high school reunion for the class of 2003.

As he begins singing, the setting flashes back to the present day where Rock and his band board a plane en route to their next gig. After settling into his seat, he dozes off and once again chronology lapses, this time to a scene that displays the big-time rock excess of the 1970s.

Suddenly the boys are on a private party jet -- the filmmakers actually rented the Penthouse private jet -- and Rock is strumming his guitar to the tender first verse. "Baby, when I think about you, I think about love," he sings longingly, while a hot stewardess in a tight uniform wiggles by.

As the chorus kicks in, the shot is of the whole jet soaring through the afternoon sky. The sleek machine is black and Rock's "American Badass" tattoo is emblazoned in gold on the tailfin for an overall appearance like that of the Trans-Am in the 1977 and 1980 "Smokey and the Bandit" flicks.

Back on the jet, the band's focus is on the sexy stewardess, but her attention is fixated on the Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp -- he's still got it after all these years, apparently. When he gets up to hit the lavatory, he's followed by two more stewardesses who slip inside the confined facility with him. The sexual innuendo is anything but subtle.

The rest of the passengers turn their attention to the commotion in the rear, and the first stewardess strides down the aisle to investigate. Opening the door, she finds Rock with the two ladies. A devilish grin passes her lips and she joins the party.

The final scene shows scores of sexy stewardesses slithering all over the jet's long, thin fuselage, generously sponging every inch of it while water spraying from hoses leaves their clothes tight and wet. Again, the sexual suggestion is excessive.

When the ride is over, Rock is slipped a note that says "Mile High Club" and he smiles. Membership really does have its privileges.

The video is expected to surface in mid-November, according to an Atlantic Records spokesperson, around the time Kid Rock's sixth studio album, the follow-up to 2001's Cocky, drops on November 11.
