What's up, everybody? How's it going? Iann Robinson here. I'm getting ready to head out on tour for two weeks with my band, Puny Human. I'm stoked that the guys in Alabama Thunderpussy found a new singer (read about it below). Those guys are a great band, and I was afraid they'd have to pack it in. I spoke to the Black Dahlia Murder guys -- well, e-mailed them at least -- and they're also searching hard for a new singer. I hope they don't have to pack it in; that would suck. Well, I'm off for tour but I will do my best to keep checking in while on the road. Later, and I'll see you at the shows.

Alabama Thunderpussy have found a new singer. Johnny Weils has landed the gig, and the group is working on a new album, tentatively titled Fulton Hill. ... Because of production delays, the release of Black Box: The Complete Original Black Sabbath (1970-1978) has been pushed back. The set will now hit stores next year. ... Danzig will hit the studio this month to start recording their eighth album. The band hopes to have it in stores next spring. ...

Asperity, the Swedish heavy metal act featuring Carnal Forge guitarist Petri Kuusisto and drummer Stefan Westerberg, have signed to Arise Records. A new album is in the works. ... Life of Agony will take their recently reunited selves into the studio to begin work on a new album. ... The Black Dahlia Murder have dropped off a tour with Six Feet Under as they continue to look for a new vocalist. As I Lay Dying will assume their spot on the bill. ...

Callenish Circle have tapped Ralph Roelvinik to step in and replace Rene "Rocco" Rokx as the bassist for their upcoming Bonded by Metal Over Europe tour. Roelvinik previously held the reigns for Dutch outfit Genetic Wisdom. ... Artist Wes Benscoter has been tapped to provide artwork for the upcoming album from Vehemence. Benscoter's work has been featured on numerous releases by Mortician as well as albums by Slayer, Vader, Cattle Decapitation and more. ...

Just a few weeks after thieves raided their practice space in North Carolina, Hopesfall were again the victim of theft when their van, trailer, merchandise and replacement equipment disappeared during a tour stop in Dallas. The band is continuing on the road with the Juliana Theory, using borrowed gear and a borrowed van. ... Former Burn It Down drummer Brian "Bob" Fouts has joined the Indiana death metal band Harakiri, who are currently working on material for their next album. ... Hate Eternal's Erik Rutan will produce the Toledo, Ohio, band Premonition of War's next album, which will be released on Victory Records. The band will join forces with the former Morbid Angel guitarist later this month at Mana Recording Studios in Florida. ...
