Roots, N.E.R.D., Talib Kweli To Perform On Second Sprite Music Tour
N.E.R.D. and Talib Kweli have signed on to return for the second Sprite Liquid Mix Tour.
Both acts will appear on the main stage, and others confirmed to participate this year include the Roots and O.A.R. A spokesperson for the tour said organizers expect to announce five or six more acts in the next few weeks. The 20-city trek begins on August 14 in Denver and ends on September 14 in Boston.
Like 2002's outing, besides seeing people perform, concertgoers can engage in other activities. There will be a Sony PlayStation 2 playground for BMX bikers, a Blockbuster Video Lounge featuring video games, and an NBA basketball half court where some of the crowd can participate.
Last year during the inaugural Sprite Liquid Mix tour, N.E.R.D. and Kweli were joined by Nappy Roots, Blackalicious, Nonpoint, Borialis, Tech N9ne and headliner Jay-Z, who brought out the Roc-A-Fella family.
Sprite Liquid Mix Tour dates, according to the tour's spokesperson:
- 8/14 - Denver, CO @ Universal Lending Pavilion
