Sharon Osbourne and a woman with whom she's had an ongoing feud were involved in a scuffle Thursday night in a West Hollywood restaurant, according to police.
Officers arrived at the Japanese restaurant Koi on La Cienega Boulevard at 10:45 p.m., after Osbourne and Renee Tab, an entertainment agent for International Creative Management, were involved in an altercation, an LAPD spokesperson said. No one was arrested, though police took reports and photographed each woman.
It's unclear how the argument started, but it escalated into a physical altercation that found Tab hitting Osbourne in the face, according to the report given by Ozzy's wife. Tab, however, maintains that Osbourne spit on her, a claim Osbourne's publicist denied.
In a statement to the press issued Friday, the publicist described the assault as "vicious" and said Osbourne was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to be treated for a dislocated jaw, chipped tooth and sprained neck.
"All I know is she punched my mom in the face and my mom has a black and blue face," Kelly Osbourne said Saturday. The burgeoning pop star didn't know many details of the incident, but had she been there to defend her mom, "I'd be in jail right now," she said.
Police have filed the reports with the Los Angeles city attorney to determine if misdemeanor assault charges are applicable.
Bad blood between Osbourne and Tab arose following a New Year's Eve party thrown by heavy metal's first family. Tab was awarded a $15,000 diamond necklace in a raffle. Because Tab hadn't been invited, Osbourne claimed the win wasn't legitimate, and she accused the agent of stealing the jewels (see "Osbournes' Hot Ice Still At Large; Family May Face Lawsuit").
Tab said she was a guest of an invited guest, according to a source close to the incident.
