Papa Roach will warm up for the Anger Management Tour with a string of club dates and radio festivals this month and next.

The rockers are playing four small venues in Northern California this week, in and nearby their hometown of Vacaville, before heading overseas for a few festivals and then returning to the States in late May.

Papa Roach said earlier this year they would play some club shows to get used to performing their new music and to get in shape.

"We also want to get back to where we started," drummer Dave Buckner said. "The kids are literally standing right in front of you. They're not 40 feet away, behind barricades and cameras. That's how we want to start this record off."

The band, lead by exuberant singer Jacoby Shaddix, will release its second major-label album, Lovehatetragedy, on June 18 (see [article id="1453569"]"Papa Roach Distance Themselves From Rap-Metal Peers On New LP"[/article]).

The initial pressing will feature two bonus tracks — "Never Said It" and a cover of the Pixies' "Gouge Away." Papa Roach recently decided to add the former in place of a cover of Faith No More's "Naked in Front of the Computer."

After their dates in May and June, which include appearances at the HFStival in Washington, D.C., and the KROQ Weenie Roast near Los Angeles, the group will launch the Anger Management Tour with Eminem, Ludacris and the X-ecutioners on July 24 (see [article id="1453545"]"Eminem, Ludacris, Papa Roach, X-ecutioners On Anger Management Tour"[/article]).
