Oasis, Black Crowes Shut Down By Flood Threat

Show at Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center canceled due to rising waters near venue.

Flood worries have forced Oasis and the Black Crowes to cancel their show at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, according to concert promoter SFX Entertainment.

As its name indicates, the venue sits along the Ohio River, which is nearing flood level. Because of the way the tour is routed, the show, which was scheduled for Thursday (May 24), won't be rescheduled. The two bands bring their Tour of Brotherly Love into Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio at the Blossom Music Center Friday (May 25).

Heavy rains this spring left the river at a level of nearly 42 feet Thursday morning, only 10 feet away from flood stage, according to the Ohio River Forecast Center's Web site. Ticketholders for the Cincinnati show can get refunds at the point of purchase.
