3 Doors Down will hit the heartland in July in a five-week headlining tour with guests Lifehouse and Tantric.

The tour kicks off July 3 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and will continue until August 11, according to the band's management, although dates have only been announced until July 22.

After the July 22 show in Cheyenne, Wyoming, another number-loving rock band, Seven Mary Three, is expected to join the tour.

3 Doors Down's lead singer, Brad Arnold, recently recorded a new first verse for "Be Like That," a ballad from 3 Doors Down's multiplatinum debut, The Better Life, that will be the first single from the "American Pie 2" soundtrack (see [article id="1442972"]"3 Doors Down Get Taste Of 'American Pie'"[/article]).
