Tommy Lee Gets To Keep Methods Of Mayhem Moniker

Lawsuit against drummer-turned-frontman settled Friday.

Tommy Lee will get to keep the name Methods of Mayhem, thanks to a settlement reached Friday by his record company, according to the Associated Press.

MCA Records settled a lawsuit brought by a Swedish man who had accused Lee of stealing the band name from a 1995 soundtrack CD. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Reportedly, a judge revealed after the settlement that a jury in the case had found in Lee's favor. That revelation prompted the drummer-turned-frontman to call the record company lawyer "an idiot" while court was in session, according to the AP.

Tommy Lee recently said that he's working on a second Methods of Mayhem album, this time without rapper TiLo, who's left the group (see: [article id="1442988"]"Tommy Lee Promises More Rock On Next Methods Of Mayhem LP"[/article]).
