Shelby Lynne To Record Next Album With Glen Ballard

Grammy-winning, country-soul singer/songwriter teams with Alanis Morissette producer for her seventh album.

Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Shelby Lynne will begin recording her seventh album next month with producer Glen Ballard.

Lynne teamed with Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews Band) on her song "Killin' Kind," which will appear on the Bridget Jones's Diary soundtrack, due Tuesday (April 3). The pair will reunite in Los Angeles to work on Lynne's follow-up to last year's I Am Shelby Lynne, her Island Records publicist said.

The album has not been scheduled for release.

The country-soul singer was named Best New Artist award at February's Grammys, although she's been making albums for more than a decade.
