In the last few months, Grammy-nominee Usher has seen more soundstages than concert stages, but fans of his music will be pleased to learn that he has a new album on the way.
Usher, who has turned up in "The Faculty" and "She's All That" this year, will return to record racks next month with "Usher Live," a concert album recorded in his hometown of Chattanooga, TN.
"I figured I never came out with anything live," Usher told MTV News of the reasons he went live with this album. "I really like the sound of a band, that's one, just for myself, but there were so many people who didn't get a chance to see the concert, so I came out with a live version of most of the songs on my album, and I came out with a home video for all the people who didn't get a chance to see the performance, and a little bio of me as well." If Usher's valiant efforts still leave
you hungry for more, you'll be glad to hear that his next film project, the Babyface-produced "Light It Up," wraps shooting this week. The film, which also stars Sarah Gilbert of "Roseanne," Onyx's Fredro Starr, Vanessa Williams and Judd Nelson, should arrive this fall.
