Break For Supergrass Drummer Cancels Tour

November 21 [10:00 EDT] -- Supergrass have had a bad break -- their drummer's wrist.

Britain's New Musical Express reports that the edgy Brit pop trio has had to cancel it's U.K. tour after beat keeper Danny Goffey had a door close on his right hand. The accident happened just hours before the band's first show, Tuesday (November 18) in Glasgow, Scotland.

The half dozens dates, which also included shows in Dublin, Liverpool and London, were all sold out and will be rescheduled sometime in 1998. NME speculates it could take up to six months for the break to heel.

Supergrass just released a third single from their second album and recently completed a U.S. tour.
