Ian Brown Lands in Trouble, Plans Secret Gigs

Ex-Stone Roses singer Ian Brown has officially been charged over an altercation with airline and airport staff in England this past February.

According to Britain's "New Musical Express," Brown is alleged to have verbally abused and threatened a British Airways stewardess and captain during a flight from Paris to Manchester February 13, and scuffled with airport workers once the plane landed. Brown and band were on a promotional trip to France at the time to support his post-Roses solo debut, "Unfinished Monkey Business.

He's scheduled to appear at Manchester's City Magistrates' Court on October 22 and 23.

Meanwhile, Brown is set to play five secret shows around the U.K. starting this Friday, June 19, through to June 24. The concerts, in small club venues, are being announced not long before showtime by England's Radio 1. The dates are warm up spots for Brown's pending appearance at the Glastonbury Festival June 26. He has a number of other festival appearances

on his plate this summer and plans a full scale tour of the U.K. this fall.
