The Squirrel Nut Zippers have finally put the finishing touches on the first video from their upcoming album, and the result is currently available online.

The video won't hit MTV until the week of July 27, but users who swing by Mammoth Records official website (at www.mammoth.com) can check out the new clip, "Suits Are Picking Up The Bill." As we previously reported (see "Squirrel Nut Zippers Ready Album, Videos"), the clip was directed by the band's longtime collaborator Norwood Cheek, who threw in a surprise cameo at the end of the video that fans should keep their eyes open for.

In the video, the Zippers dig in at a swank restaurant, only to find themselves being eyed as the main course (insert your own music industry symbolism here).

Visitors to the site can check out the clip in RealVideo at 28.8, 56, or high bandwidth network connection

speeds.

The video and single are fans' first taste of the Zippers' next album, "Perennial Favorites," which won't arrive until August 4. The band has already lined up its second single and video; for the track "Ghost Of Stephen Foster," the band has enlisted the help of the team that animates "The Simpsons" for a Betty Boop-style clip.

The band will hit the road in support of the album in August with a tour that kicks off in August. Here's where you can catch them:
