As the band comes down the homestretch on its second album, Soulfly has firmed up the track listing for its next effort and added a bit of high-profile touring to its schedule. With "Primitive" still awaiting a firm release date sometime in the late summer or early fall, Roadrunner Records confirms that Soulfly will support the effort with a slot on this summer's inaugural Tattoo The Earth outing. The band will join previously announced acts Slipknot, Sevendust, and Coal Chamber for a trek that kicks off in mid-July (see "Slipknot, Sevendust, Coal Chamber To Tattoo The Earth"). Further details, including additional acts and tour dates, are expected to be announced soon. Soulfly will use the trek to introduce fans to some of the 12 new tracks that await on "Primitive." As we previously reported, the band got help from a few friends on the new effort as Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Slayer's Tom Araya, The Deftones'
Chino Moreno, Will Haven's Grady Avenell, and Sean Lennon all turn up on the album (see "Slipknot Joins Soulfly In Studio").When "Primitive" hits stores later this year, here's what you'll find:
- "Back To The Primitive"
- "Pain" with The Deftones' Chino Moreno and Will Haven's Grady Avenall
- "Bring It"
- "Terrorist" with Slayer's Tom Araya
- "Son Song" with Sean Lennon
