Snoop Sued By Promoter

October 22 [10:00 EDT] -- The promoter of a Snoop Doggy Dogg concert in Petersburg, Virginia last January, has filed a half million dollar lawsuit against the rapper, his ex-manager Sharitha Knight, and his label, Death Row Records.

Patricia Ann Richardson claims Snoop and/or his people conned her into picking up a pair of FedEx packages and bringing them to him on January 28th, the night he played a small club called Flava's [article id="1450565"][Snoop Live In Virginia, 700k QuickTime][/article].

The promoter says she had no idea that those packages actually contained seven pounds of marijuana, and she was shocked when federal, state, and local officials were waiting for her when she arrived at the club with the delivery. There, she was handcuffed and later questioned by a grand jury, but never charged.

Petersburg police told MTV News that Snoop was not charged either, because "Mr. Dogg did not take possession of the packages.
