With the arrival of the year 2000, Y2K compliant headbangers Slipknot will embark on the next leg of their U.S. tour.

The band has lined up a string of U.S. dates with Canadian teenage female grindcore quartet Kittie for a trek that kicks off on New Year's day in Slipknot's hometown of Des Moines, Iowa. So far the band has lined up shows through late January and plans to beef up its itinerary soon.

The shows are the latest round in a tour history that has seen Slipknot greet the masses on Ozzfest '99 before heading out with Coal Chamber and most recently Biohazard.
