Tupac Lawsuit Settled

After much legal back and forth, it appears that the estates of Tupac Shakur and Orlando Anderson have settled a trio of lawsuits they had fired at each other after the rapper's death in 1996, CNN reports.

As we previously reported, Anderson had filed a lawsuit claiming that Tupac and Death Row Records head Marion "Suge" Knight had assaulted him in a September 7, 1996, brawl at a Las Vegas hotel just hours before Tupac was shot (see [article id="1430908"]"Anderson's Suit Against Tupac, Death Row To Continue"[/article]).

Tupac's family later launched a legal salvo of its own, charging that Anderson was linked to the rapper's slaying and suing him for wrongful death.

CNN reports that the legal volley between the families took yet another turn after Anderson's shooting death in 1998, when his estate claimed that Shakur's estate had yet to pay $78,000 it had promised Anderson. Anderson's family then reportedly filed yet another suit against

Tupac's estate, charging breach of contract.

A lawyer representing Tupac's estate confirmed the settlement to CNN but would not disclose details of the deal.
