Sevendust Prepares Home Video, Plans For New Album

Fans who liked what they saw when Sevendust rolled out a concert special on select television stations last month will soon have the chance to own their own copy of the show.

The metal outfit will release "Sevendust: Live & Loud" to home video on January 19, giving fans a look at the surprise show they staged at Chicago's Metro Theater. The home video features five songs from that set (all culled form the band's self-titled 1997 debut album) interspersed with backstage interview footage.

As we reported last month, the band's record label, TVT, purchased airtime on a number of television stations across the country to air "Live & Loud." The home video version will also feature a raw version of the song "Terminator" that was not part of the "Live & Loud" broadcast.

Meanwhile, Sevendust is currently putting the finishing touches on a tour that wraps up on December, 19 in Pittsburgh. After that, the band plans to take the month off January off before beginning work

on their next album. According to TVT, the band has not yet selected a producer, but hopes to have the album in stores in mid-1999.

Before that, here's where you can catch them on the road:

  • 12/15 - Cleveland, OH @ Odeon Concert Club
  • 12/16 - Hartford, CT @ Webster Theatre
