Semisonic Wants Fans To Sing The Band To Sleep For New Video
Semisonic will be in Los Angeles this week filming the video for its new single, "Singing in My Sleep," for which the band reached out to fans for some friendly audio input.
The Minneapolis band asked fans via its e-mail list to help select songs for an "Ultimate Mix Tape," along with an accompanying decorated insert card, for use in the "Sleep" video, as the song mentions the use of those dubbed cassettes of personalized songs commonly exchanged between couples.
Fans who participate in the video-internet song swap will receive a personalized token of thanks from the band, while the winner will receive a copy of the "Singling In My Sleep" video clip as well.
Semisonic are set to play "The Tonight Show" on July 6, and will launch the next leg of its summer tour the following day at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Other dates just announced are:
- 7/7 - Myrtle Beach, SC @ House Of Blues
- 7/8 - Richmond, VA @ Boulders Outdoor Amphitheater
