Feb. 6 [11:55 EST] -- Weezer bassist and all around creative whirlwind Matt Sharp is reportedly in London mixing the next release from his keyboard-driven outfit the Rentals.

Sharp himself is producing the album, the second from the new wave throwbacks, and should reportedly have it finished for a July release. Sharp is reportedly taking the hands-all-over approach to the album, and is handling all aspects of the project himself.

The album's 14 tracks were reportedly recorded last October in London, and a touring incarnation of the Rentals will reportedly head out this summer.
