Reel Big Fish A Hit With The Sports Crowd In Florida

August 19 [12:00 EDT] -- It looks like So. Cal. ska outfit Reel Big Fish is going the Sister Sledge route.

Whereas the disco divas saw their anthem "We Are Family" adopted by Major League Baseball's Pittsburgh Pirates in the late 70s, the Fish track [article id="1449877"]"Trendy" [1.1MB Live QuickTime][/article] has been adopted by the Florida Marlins.

It seems that song's chorus of [article id="1449877"]"Everybody's doin' the fish... yeah, yeah, yeah"[/article] caught the ear of the folks at Pro Player Stadium, and the song is belted out over the stadium's PA system during the seventh inning stretch (and after particularly sharp plays).

The Fish's foothold among Florida sports fans will soon be spreading to the NFL as well, as the band will perform at a tailgate party before the Miami Dolphins/Buffalo Bills Monday night game on November 17. Reel Big Fish will then head inside to offer up a ska version of the National Anthem before kick off.

In

case you're wondering, the Reel Big Fish-inspired Marlins are currently four games out of first place in the National League East division.
