Now Rhino Records is capturing the efforts of these hip-hop pioneers in a three-CD set compiled by women for women called "Fat Beats & Bra Straps." The set, which features Roxanne, Latifah, and Salt-N-Pepa as well as Sweet Tee & Jazzy Joyce, Ice Cream Tee, JJ Fad, and Nonchalant, is divided into three volumes: Classic Hip-Hop, Battle Rhymes & Posse Cuts, and New MCs.
