Primus Maps Out Tour With P.O.D.

Having taken a breather following their last tour in November, the merry pranksters of Primus are coming to a venue near you in February.

The band is heading out once again behind its latest CD, "Anti-Pop," which features guests such as Tom Waits, James Hetfield of Metallica, ex-Faith No More guitarist Jim Martin, ex-Police drummer Stewart Copeland, Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, and Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine.

Without all the guest artists, the band consists of lead singer and bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde, and drummer Bryan "Brain" Mantia, who replaced the original drummer, Tim "Herb" Alexander, in 1996.

Opening for Primus on this go-round is Christian hardcore metal band P.O.D. (Payable On Death), whose major label debut, "The Fundamental Elements Of Southtown," was released last year.
