Oasis To Release "Familiar" Concert Double Album

Add Oasis to the list of artists planning to drop a live record before Christmas, as a double album from the band, titled "Familiar To Millions," will hit stores on November 14.

According to the band's U.S. publicists, the discs will feature material recorded during the group's U.K. show at London's Wembley Stadium on July 21, as well as additional tracks taken from other performances on Oasis' contentious world tour in support of "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants."

Guitarist Noel Gallagher left the group before a scheduled Paris concert in late May and was subsequently replaced by Matt Deighton for the remainder of the tour's European leg (see [article id="1432791"]"Noel Gallagher Walks Out On Oasis"[/article]).

Noel and brother Liam Gallagher eventually were able to put aside their differences for a spell, and Noel rejoined Oasis some six weeks later for the band's U.K. tour dates, which included the two-night Wembley stand on July 21

and 22.

In the U.K., Oasis is also planning to release a concert DVD and home video to accompany the "Familiar To Millions" live disc, although the band's U.S. label has yet to decide if the projects will be released on these shores.

Aside from Oasis, Rage Against The Machine, Blink-182, Pearl Jam, and Tool are all set to issue live albums in the next few months.
