After a bit of trouble, Noreaga got some good news on Monday as a drug possession case against the rapper appears to be on the way out.

Noreaga (real name Victor Santiago) was arrested Sunday night in the New York borough of Queens along with four other men for criminal possession of marijuana.

Noreaga's lawyer told MTV News Monday that the case against the rapper was adjourned contemplating dismissal. In laymen's terms, the development means that no future court dates are scheduled and charges against the rapper will likely be dropped if he stays out of trouble for the next year. Two of the five men have pled guilty to possession and disorderly conduct charges.

Noreaga and his friends were hanging out in a public park near the rapper's 2000 Mercedes Benz listening to music around 6 p.m. Sunday night when police observed one man allegedly smoking pot in the car.

Police impounded Noreaga's Mercedes following the arrest, and as of press time Noreaga and

his lawyer were still trying to get it back.
