Motörhead Bringing Box Set, Reissues To Stores

Holiday shoppers will have plenty of opportunities to put a little Lemmy under their tree this season, as an avalanche of Motörhead product is rolling into stores.

The road-tested metal journeymen are rolling out remastered editions of classic titles as well as a new box set chronicling the band's work from 1976 to 1992.

First up, the group delivered gussied-up versions of 1979's "Overkill," 1979's "Bomber," 1980's "Ace Of Spades," and 1984's "No Remorse" to retailers. The reissues boast remastered sound as well as buffed-up artwork. Another batch of Motörhead reissues will arrive on March 7 of next year when "Another Perfect Day," "No Sleep At All," and "Rock 'N' Roll" get similar makeovers.

On November 30, Motörhead will unleash the four-CD collection "Protect the Innocent" on record buyers. The box set spans the years 1976-1992 and collects studio cuts as well as live versions of "Killed By Death," "Iron Horse," "Steal Your Face," and other vintage

tracks.

The set also boasts a fold-out poster (taken during the photo shoot for the cover of "Ace Of Spades") as well as a 60-page booklet that examines the distinct look that artist Joe Petagno has brought to the band's cover art over the years.

The band is once again on the road and wraps up a U.S. tour on Wednesday in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Lemmy and company will then launch a European tour next week.
