R&B singer Monica, who scored a hit single earlier this year with "Angel Of Mine," will be acting as a real-life angel this weekend for a charity event in her hometown of Atlanta.

On December 5, Monica will spend the evening with children if the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Atlanta at the organization's annual holiday party.

The Grammy-winning singer will read the children a Christmas story at the party, complete with an appearance by Santa Claus, his gift bag, elves, and -- of course -- music.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Atlanta and North Georgia is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
