As you ponder the numerous holiday tasks that await you in the coming weeks, say a quiet prayer for the men of Sevendust.

The hard-hitting Atlanta outfit had already lined up a string of dates with Metallica and Kid Rock that includes a multi-band New Year's Eve bash in Detroit (see [article id="1430809"]"Metallica To Hit Road With Kid Rock, Sevendust After New Year's Eve Gig"[/article]). Now Sevendust has decided to squeeze in a headlining tour of its own in before hitting the road with Metallica.

Sevendust will hit the road with Buzzworthy rockers Static-X and Dope (fresh from a run on Coal Chamber's U.S. tour) on December 5 in Rochester, New York. That stint will wrap up on December 18 in Detroit, ten days before Sevendust meets up with Metallica in Miami.

While the Metallica camp has not confirmed an itinerary for it brief U.S. tour, Sevendust says that fans can expect to see the band roll through Cleveland, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis

after playing Detroit on New Year's Eve.
