Sarah McLachlan Named In Starr Report

She's a multi-platinum recording artist, founder of the wildly successful Lilith Fair, but now Sarah McLachlan has received the ultimate honor -- she's mentioned in the newly released Kenneth Starr report.

A note from Monica Lewinsky to President Clinton dating sometime from late 1997 and supplied to the special prosecutor reads, "When I was hiding out in your office for a half hour, I noticed you had the new Sarah McLachlan CD. I have it, too, and it's wonderful. Whenever I listen to song #5 I think of you. "

If Lewinsky was indeed referring to McLachlan's then new CD, "Surfacing," the fifth song is the ballad, "Do What You Have To Do." Spokespeople for McLachlan had no comment.

McLachlan is set to make her next concert appearance at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit on October 17 and 18 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.
