August 1 [16:00 EDT] -- Before joining up with Jewel, Sarah McLachlan and the rest of the Lilith fair tour, Lisa Loeb has a bit of acting work to finish up first.

According to "Billboard," the bespectacled singer will appear with Thomas Haden-Church ("Ned And Stacy" and "Wings") in the dark comedy "Serial Killing For Dummies.

Loeb reportedly began work on the film on July 8, and will presumably wrap her part up by the time she hits the Lilith stage August 3 in Woodlands, Texas.
