Local H To Do Double Duty On New Year's Eve

Before hitting the road with Fuel next year, Local H will end 1998 in style with not one but two New Year's Eve shindigs.

The duo will bring its bare-knuckled guitar and drums combo to its home turf of Chicago to play two show at that city's Metro, one at 6 p.m. for an all-ages audience, and another at 11 p.m. for those of legal drinking age.

Once those shows are behind them, the group has designs on a co-headlining tour with fellow alt rock radio favorites Fuel in an outing that Local H hopes will up the visibility factor of its 1998 release, "Pack Up The Cats." The band was pricked up ears with the album's first single, "All The Kids Are Right," but has so far been unable to turn its critical kudos into commercial success.
