Jay-Z Unveils Roc Wear Fashion Line

As Jay-Z prepares to head out with DMX, Method Man and Redman on one of the biggest hip-hop tours in recent memory, the rap entrepreneur and his Roc-A-Fella camp are putting the finishing touches on a host of other projects slated for 1999.

Aside from issuing new records from Memphis Bleek, Beanie Seagal and Amil, Jay-Z is also in the midst of sorting out plans (and designs) for his new Roc Wear clothing line, which Z hopes to have in stores by fall.

"We're settin' it up right now," Jay-Z told the MTV Radio Network, "but this was all in the makin', all in the plan. It's just comin' to light right now. I wanna design a couple of pieces and approve all the specs, you know, so we're involved 100 percent. Actually, we don't [manufacture] it, so not 100 percent. Let's say 85 percent.

Jay-Z, his business partner Damon Dash and the Roc-A-Fella staff were seen sporting some of the preliminary designs for Roc Wear at the recent press conference announcing the Hard Knock Life Tour
