Tracie Spencer Taps Whitney's Team For Long Awaited Record

Vocalist Tracie Spencer is back after an almost ten-year hiatus from the recording scene with a new album, "Tracie," and a new single, "It's All About You (Not About Me)" -- a cut that's beginning to make some noise on urban radio.

Spencer, now 22, is quite a bit older than when she released her 1990 sophomore album, "Make The Difference." After being away from the business for such a long time, Tracie admitted to the MTV Radio Network that she was a bit apprehensive when the prospect of recording a new album became possible.

"It was overwhelming," Spencer said. "I really didn't know what was going to happen. And when people found out I was actually working on another album, [I was interested by] the reaction to it; whether they were going to say, 'OK, yeah, whatever, she's doing another album,' or if it was going to be a lot of excitement."
