Whitney Houston Cancels Last U.S. Date; 'N Sync Reshuffles Road Plans

Two big-ticket tours have hit a couple of road snags recently, as 'N Sync and Whitney Houston have announced date changes (and even cancellations) on their respective outings.

Whitney Houston cancelled her concert in the San Francisco Bay area on Sunday, due to illness. The show, which was to be the last date on the U.S. leg of her world tour, joins a slew of previously postponed or cancelled dates in Tennessee, Missouri, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. (see [article id="1430173"]"Whitney Returns To Stage After Throat Problems Cause Cancellations"[/article]).

And at the risk of breaking its young fans' hearts, 'N Sync has changed up the last week of its North American tour so that the fivesome can fit in some more time in the recording studio.

The group has postponed the last five dates of its outing until late November so that its upcoming album, "No Strings Attached," will be ready in time for its scheduled November release (see [article id="1432545"]"'N Sync Ready To 'String' Fans Along With New Album, Home Video"[/article]).

The 'N Sync dates scheduled for Sacramento, Reno, and Las Vegas will remain at the same venues, while the concert which was to be held in Concord, California has been moved to Oakland. Meanwhile, fans in Fargo, North Dakota will be happy to learn that the group has tagged on a Fargodome date to its tour as well.

In other 'N Sync news, a label rep for the group has informed MTV News that the band's home video, which was originally slated to appear in stores on September 28, will now be available in late November to coincide with the release of the group's next LP.
